§1 – Liability
Online shopping at Backyardfootwear.com may only take place when the user agrees to the terms and conditions of purchase that apply to Backyardfootwear.com.
§2 – Payment
§2.1 – Order Confirmation and Payment
Once we have received your order and payment, you will receive an email with your order number and the total order amount. We recommend that you print and save this email as this is your order confirmation. We accept the following credit cards: VISA/Mastercard/Maestro/Visa Electron/JCB/American Express. You can never withdraw a larger amount than you have approved of at the time of your purchase.
§2.2 – Purchase Security
Shopping at Backyardfootwear.com is safe. We use a DIBS ‘SSL encrypted payment window, which means that only DIBS computers are reading the information on your payment card. Once security servers, run by DIBS, have received the information needed from your payment card, the information will be sent directly to the bank in an encrypted form. This information is never stored at Backyardfootwear.com. Payment by debit card is carried out by all applicable laws and rules for online payment in Europe. Once you have completed an online payment, you will receive an order confirmation by email. We recommend that you save this order confirmation. Please note that emails sent by Backyardfootwear.com may end up in your spam folder. Therefore, look there if you cannot find the email in your inbox. If you have not received an email, please contact us so we can send you your receipt manually. If a third party misuses your payment card, you will not be liable for the abuse unless you have violated the rules for using a credit card.
§3 – Delivery
§3.1 – Time of Delivery
Time of delivery usually takes place within 2 to 4 weekdays. You will receive an email from Backyardfootwear.com once the item is shipped from our warehouse.
§3.2 – Transport / Freight
Delivery is carried out by GLS/PostNord. When ordering choose the Shop Delivery where the item is to be delivered. The recipient is required to check that the product packaging is delivered intact and, if this is not the case, to inspect the delivered package together with GLS/PostNord. If defects are found on the package in question, please send your complaint to GLS/PostNord, after which Tiebreak Int Ltd. / Backyard Footwear will replace any defects as soon as possible. The recipient is furthermore obliged to ensure that the shipment contains the goods ordered and is obliged, immediately hereafter and no later than eight days from receipt, to indicate defects and shortcomings in the delivery to Tiebreak Int Ltd. / Backyard Footwear by email to info@tiebreakinternational.com. The recipient cannot claim any compensation for an incorrect delivered item if the product has been used. If you wish to collect the item in person, you can do this at Tiebreak International Ltd. at Herstedøstervej 9, DK-2600 Glostrup, Denmark – but not without prior agreement. When collecting the product, you will be prompted to identify with picture ID and confirmation receipt so that we can verify and document that the order is delivered to the right person.
3.3 – Shipping Fee
A shipping fee of 0 for delivery is added to the purchase order.
3.4 – Invoice
The invoice is sent to you electronically once we receive your order and is also enclosed your items upon delivery.
4 – Return Policy and Right of Cancellation
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days upon receipt.
4.1 – The Period for Returning of Goods
The period for returning of goods expires within 14 days of receipt. The cancellation period expires fourteen days after the day you received your item. However, during the Christmas season, we extend the deadline. All items purchased between November 20 and Decembern31 can be returned until January 15 in the following year.
4.2 – Terms of Product Return
Within 14 days upon receipt, you must inform us if you wish to cancel your purchase. The notification is to be sent by mail to info@tiebreakinternational.com. In your notification clearly state that you wish to exercise your right of cancellation. You can also choose to use our default cancellation form enclosed upon return of the goods. The product must be intact and in substantially the same condition and quantity as upon receipt. You are only liable for any deterioration of the value of the item due to handling in other ways than what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics, and manner of the item. In other words – you can try on the product in the same way as if you tried it on in a physical store. If the product has been tested beyond what is described above, we consider the item used which means that in the case of returning of the goods, only part of or none of the purchase amount will be returned, depending on the merchant’s commercial value. To receive a full refund, you must act as is best practice in a physical store. You can test and try on the product but not take it outside for real use. When purchasing our goods, the original packaging may constitute a significant part of the value of the item. Therefore when returning the goods, the original packaging must be included to ensure that the terms of product return are met. You must attach a copy of the order confirmation when returning your item. You cannot exercise your right of cancellation by refusing receipt of the item without giving us a clear notice of this. Note – we do not receive packages sent cash on delivery.
§4.3 – Return
When returning your order to us, this must be done without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after you have informed us that you wish to cancel your purchase. You bear the direct costs incurred in returning the item. Upon returning of goods you are responsible for ensuring that the item is properly packed. The cost of return varies depending on the size of the order.
§4.5 – Refund
If you regret your purchase, you will get a refund of the total amount. In case of a depreciation of the item that you are liable for, the purchase amount will be deducted. If you choose to exercise your right of cancellation, we will refund all received payments without undue delay and in no more than fourteen days from the date of the cancellation notification. The refund is made by the same method of payment used for the original transaction unless you explicitly have agreed to another way of refunding the amount. The refund can be withheld until we have received the return package unless you have submitted documentation before returning it.
4.5.1 – Debit card
In case you have paid by credit card, the amount will be credited the debit card used for the purchase.
4.5.2 – Bank transfer
The amount will be reimbursed to your bank account.
4.6 – Warranty
If you receive an incorrect or a damaged item, BackYard Footwear will naturally refund the shipping costs as regards both the original delivery and the return. The refund is carried out at 0. BackYard Footwear refuses any receipt of packages sent cash on delivery. We request you to send an email to our customer service at info@tiebreakinternational.com – Remember to save your mail receipt as proof that you have returned the item. When shopping with BackYard Footwear, you have a 24 months warranty. The warranty means that you can either get the item repaired, exchanged, money back or a refusal in the price, depending on the specific situation in case of complaints. It is required that the complaint is justified and that the defect has is not a result of incorrect use of the product or other damaging behavior. You must state your complaint within “reasonable time” after you have discovered the defect of the item. If you state your complaint within two months of discovering the defect, the complaint will be notified in due time.

When you return the item, please state in details the problem with the item. Note – we do not receive packages cash on delivery nor the like. Keep in mind that the product must always be returned in proper packaging.
4.7 – Color and size
We assume no responsibility for minor variations in color or size on our website. Such variations will not prompt any refund of the costs, either in connection with the original shipment or with the return.
4.8 – Item Specifications
Backyard Footwear assumes no responsibility for measurements and weight indications at the website matching measures carried out by the customer. The weight and measurements stated on our website are the weight and measures stated by the manufacturer. If a product does not meet the expectations of the customer, the usual 14-day return applies.
